FAQ

What does CPS mean?

CPS means clicks per second: total clicks divided by test duration.

Is my best score shared online?

No. Best score is stored locally in your browser only.

Introduction

Click Speed Test is a simple CPS benchmark for left-click speed. Use it to compare clicking technique, switches, or consistency between runs โ€” everything runs locally in the browser.

Purpose

  • Benchmark raw left-click speed with fixed-duration sessions.
  • Track personal progress via the best score stored on your device (not uploaded).

Key Features

  • Multiple session lengths (5s, 10s, 30s) with live CPS feedback while the timer runs.
  • End-of-run average CPS, peak CPS, and a short qualitative rating band.
  • Personal best stored locally in the browser (not uploaded).

Common Use Cases

  • Benchmarking left-click speed for games or click challenges.
  • Comparing mice, switches, or grip styles on the same machine.
  • Tracking your own improvement over time via saved best CPS.

Best Practices

  • Compare runs using the same duration and similar warm-up.
  • Pause heavy background downloads or CPU burners before a serious attempt.
  • Take breaks to avoid hand strain; CPS tests are repetitive by nature.

Comparison metrics

Metric How to use it
Average CPS Total clicks รท duration โ€” the main number to compare across runs with the same length.
Peak CPS Highest instantaneous rate in the session โ€” reflects burst ability.
Best (local) Highest CPS saved in browser storage for progress tracking on this machine.
Rating text Qualitative band (e.g. against ~7 / ~10 / ~14 CPS thresholds in the tool) for quick feedback.
