FAQ
Why do only front speakers play?
Most browsers expose stereo output via Web Audio even when your sound card supports 8 channels. The tool uses panning fallback so headphone users can still sanity-check channel order.
What frequency hits the subwoofer?
The LFE channel plays a 60 Hz tone—if your sub is muted or miswired, that step will be silent while mains still play.
Overview
Surround Sound Test routes a short sine tone to one output channel at a time using ChannelMerger when the browser exposes enough outputs, or stereo panning with level shaping when it does not.
