Monitor Ghosting Test

Watch the moving box. If you see a trailing blur or color smear behind it, your monitor has ghosting (slow pixel response). Increase speed to expose ghosting more clearly.

How to use

  1. Set Speed (px/sec) lower first and raise it until tails stretch—high speeds stress slow overdrive ladders.
  2. Mix Box colors with Background ramps (bright box on dark matte, inverted, etc.).
  3. Pause whenever you tweak overdrive tiers in monitor OSD so comparisons stay disciplined.
  4. Fullscreen chase area removes extra UI chrome glare while you scrutinize skirts.

FAQ

Why animate back and forth?

The ping-pong path keeps stimulus inside fullscreen while reversals amplify overshoot tails—matching the approachable UX shipped on KeyboardTester.click.

Introduction

Watch the moving box. If you see a trailing blur or color smear behind it, your monitor has ghosting (slow pixel response). Increase speed to expose ghosting more clearly.

You can also swap Box color, Background, Pause, and fullscreen the chase area—same ergonomics as the classic browser reference test.
