How to use

  1. Pick a goal card (Sleep, Focus, Study, Meditation…) to open the full mixer preloaded with layers tuned for that goal.
  2. Tap a variant chip (e.g. White Noise for Sleep, Focus Sounds for Coding) to jump to a more specific preset page.
  3. Use the mixer to add or remove layers, change behaviors (loop / interval / random), and tune per-layer volume.
  4. Hit Share in the mixer to copy a link that restores your exact mix for someone else.
  5. Use the sleep timer (15m / 30m / 1h) to auto fade-out at the end of a session.

FAQ

Why a separate Explore page when there's already a Sound Generator?

The main Sound Generator opens with a blank mixer so you can build freely. Explore is a catalog entry point: each card jumps straight into the mixer preloaded with layers already tuned for that goal (sleep, focus, study, etc).

Do variant chips open different tools?

Each variant with a dedicated preset (like White Noise for Sleep or Focus Sounds for Coding) has its own page with a preloaded mix and targeted SEO copy. Variants without a dedicated page stay as labels so you know which use cases are covered.

Are these different audio engines?

No — all generators share the same Web Audio engine. The difference is which layers are preloaded and how each layer's behavior (loop / interval / random) is configured.

Can I save or share a mix from the explore page?

The explore page itself is a catalog — it doesn't play audio. Open any card to get the full mixer with Share, Save Mix, and Sleep Timer controls.

Why online sound generators matter

In today’s digital world, the ability to create and control sound in the browser is valuable for focus, sleep, relaxation, and quick audio experiments. A powerful online sound generator lets you produce custom ambience—noise, nature, and timed events—without installing traditional audio suites.

Whether you need masking noise, nature texture, or layered scenes with realistic randomness, modern tools give you control over how audio is shaped and scheduled.

What makes these tools powerful is that you can generate your own sound, tailored to your needs—then save, share, and reopen the exact mix later.

Why use an online sound generator?

  • No installation required
  • Instant playback after Play
  • Works across devices
  • Straightforward controls for volume, layers, and behaviors
  • Free access on ZonoTools for core playback

What “good” usually includes

  • Noise generation — white, pink, and brown beds for masking
  • Layered playback — steady loops plus interval/random one-shots for realism
  • Presets — goal-tuned starting points (sleep, focus, study, meditation)
  • Share — URLs that restore mixes

Common use cases

  • Focus and relaxation — hide unpredictable noise without adding musical distraction
  • Sleep — a stable bed that makes small sounds less salient
  • Learning and experimentation — hear how layering changes perception over time

For the open-ended workspace (start blank, build anything), use Sound Generator.

What the Explore page is

This page lists every sound generator in one place, grouped by goal. Instead of
hunting through the sidebar, you see all ten goal clusters at once — noise colors,
nature blends, focus mixes, sleep mixes, meditation, study, work, relax, and calm —
each with the specific variants we've preset for you.

How to pick the right generator

  • Sleep — start with Sleep Sounds Generator or White Noise for Sleep. Add
Brown Noise for Sleep if you want a warmer, deeper floor.
  • Focus / deep work — Focus Sounds Generator or Pink Noise for Focus. Pink
noise is flatter than white and far less fatiguing across long sessions.
  • Study — Study Sounds for Concentration or Study Sounds with Rain. Rain
masks keyboard and speech while staying low-attention.
  • Meditation — Meditation Sounds for Beginners opens a slow ocean+forest
blend; switch to Mindfulness for a fuller mix.
  • Wind down / Relax — Relax Sounds Generator, Calm Sounds, or any nature
    blend with fire or rain.

Noise colors explained

  • White noise — equal power at every frequency. Bright and even; great for
masking speech and short sleep naps.
  • Pink noise — power falls off 3 dB/octave. Softer on the ears, the
best choice for long focus sessions and adult sleep.
  • Brown noise — power falls off 6 dB/octave. Deep, warm, low-frequency
emphasis. Ideal for insomnia, babies, and all-night sleep.

Every cluster has the same engine

All variants share the same Web Audio scheduler under the hood — what changes is
which layers are loaded, at what volume, and with which behavior. That means once
you learn the mixer on one page, you can tune any variant the same way.
